MINUTES BVRI BOARD MEETING August 31,

board meeting.
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by board
Vice President Dave Morley at 3:10 pm in the Perry Walther Building in
Bear Valley, California.
* Minutes of 6/21/08 Board Meeting as
distributed by Eric Jung.
MOTION: Katherine Aitken-Young moved to
approved the minutes.
SECOND: Gordon Ritter seconded the
motion.
All members in favor.
None opposed.
* Treasurer's Report: Jack
Wedgwood
Jack Wedgwood distributed report.
Discussion of report.
Dues received just under $23K = 279
memberships
Other income bring us to just over $29K
income in the this fiscal year
We have just under $25K in cash in the
bank at this time
Expenses YTD $23K (for BVRI Community
Donations, Beach operations, Insurance, Printing, Mailing, Storage,
etc.)
MOTION: Gordon Ritter moved to receive
the report
SECOND: Katherine Aitken-Young seconded
the motion.
All members in favor.

* BV Development Plans Status: Dave
Morley
We are awaiting the EIR. It was supposed
to be distributed end of August or early September. There will be a
full mailing to all lot owners when that is available. As soon as we
have it we will review and comment.
* ARC Report: Dave
Morley
Hold for general meeting
* Forest Management, Fire and CC&R
Inspection Update: Dave Morley
Inspections and compliance is going very
well. If no action is being taken, a follow up will come from the
Sheriff.
* Beach Operations: Gloria
English
Beach will close mid-September.
Discussion around storage structure on small beach to contain some of
the beach toys and other items that collect on that beach. Gloria will
look into it. Discussion around prevention of erosion on the hill
above the lake. Further discussion planned. Discussion about sand
dredging vs. new sand.
* 2008 Picnic Planning: Gloria

Picnic was held on Saturday, July 5th,
2008. We raised $1,500 which we Donated to the Parents Group. We had
close to 225 people attend.
* Report from the Board of
Supervisors: Terry Woodrow
Fuels reduction grant of $10K. We got 62
chipper requests for BV alone (which is about the same amount of
requests we got last year for all areas so we've run out of money and
we'll have to pay Sean to finish the program.
* Old Business
Peter Krabacher addressed the board about
the home size issue. He asked about updating the CC&Rs (last
update was done in 1992) to reflect where Bear Valley is going today.
Dave Morley described the process of updating the
CC&Rs.
