MINUTES BVRI BOARD MEETING August 29, 2010

The meeting was called to order by Board President Dave Morley at 4:02 pm in the County Services Building in Bear Valley, California and via telephone conference bridge for those members unable to attend in person.

Provided the history of their involvement with the water issues in Bear Valley and about what their role has been. He presented the chronology of their understanding of the number of new hookups. He also discussed the importance of resolving the water capacity issues so development can proceed.

Greg indicated for the EIR to move forward all we need is a PLAN that is credible that could eventually give us the 400 hookups needed for the development.

Provided a summary of his role and the role of the Water District with regard to both the NPDES Permit and the waste water discharge permit.

Chuck Toeniskoetter

Discussed the fact that the effluent has been reduced by 50% since 2004 it's his perception that we should have plenty of discharge capacity.

Spray Field acreage could be better utilized so expansion of spray field acreage may not be necessary.

The Partnership's question to BVRI and to the community: We need to join forces and get together with the water district, the county, the state and solve the water issues so development can proceed.

MOTION: Ron Rossi moved that BVRI encourage the Bear Valley water district to effectively and efficiently investigate all alternatives to resolve the water capacity issues with our support.

SECOND: Jack Wedgwood Seconded the motion.

All members in favor.

None opposed.

Barbara Goodrich abstained (as a member of both boards).

Paul Petersen expressed appreciation to Julio and the water district board for all their work to resolve the problems.

Dave Morley adjourned the meeting at 5:30 pm
