2025 BVRI Membership is Now Open 

Calling all Bear Valley property owners and supporters! It’s March 1, and the 2025 BVRI Membership Form has just gone live.* Annual dues are $150 until June 1, when they increase to $195. (Your timely payment at the beginning of our fiscal year helps us budget and spend our financial resources most effectively.)

Why join BVRI? 
In our recent survey, more than 100 current BVRI members said it was because they believe in supporting their community. 

Here’s some of what your membership dues help fund:

• Bear Lake and beaches: amenities like the picnic tables, bearproof trashcans, swimming platform, portable toilets, and services such as water quality testing and fire mitigation 
• Substantial underwriting of the BVRI July community picnic, the Bear Valley Music Festival, New Year’s Eve fireworks, trail maintenance, etc. as our budget allows.
• Architectural review process (to keep Bear Valley looking like Bear Valley)
• The Bear Valley Post Office and postmaster
• BVRI.org, the comprehensive website for all things Bear Valley
• And more!

And while we much prefer carrots to sticks, remember that only current BVRI members (and their families/guests/renters) may use Bear Lake and the beaches.

BVRI Meeting March 16

The next BVRI Board meeting is via Zoom on Sunday March 16, at 4 p.m. All members of the community are welcome to join and listen to the important updates given by Terry Woodrow, Alpine County Board of Supervisors; Tim Cohee, California Mountain Resort Company; Kimi Johnson, Lake Alpine Water Company; and the Sheriff’s office. We’ll also be voting on some amendments to the Bear Valley Design Standards (primarily regarding Accessory Dwelling Units).
